I remember like it was yesterday. I was nine and my babysitter brought over some arts and crafts. With them, I created the most beautiful light switch cover ever. At least that's how I remember it.
I proudly went to the basement to show my sister, who promptly told me there was no way she would allow it in our bedroom.
So I did the only reasonable thing there was to do. I grasped the doorknobs on both sides of the basement door and threw the biggest tantrum of my life, jumping up and down while yanking the door and screaming, "But JESS-I-CAAAAAAA!"
And that's when I knew. I was passionate about creativity.
Some things never change. Luckily, the temper tantrums have subsided.
